How to Set Up the MultiPHP INI Editor in cPanel?

The MultiPHP INI Editor in cPanel allows you to change the PHP settings for your websites. This can help to enhance performance or activate certain features. For setting up, simply follow these steps:

  1. Log into cPanel
    Go to your cPanel login page by opening your web browser. To log in, enter your password and username.
  2. Find the MultiPHP INI Editor
    In your cPanel dashboard, locate the "Software" section.  Select "MultiPHP INI Editor" by clicking: Find the "MultiPHP INI Editor" option under the Software section and click on it. This  opens the MultiPHP INI Editor interface.
  3. Select the Domain
    You will see a dropdown menu labeled "Select a location." Choose the domain for which you want to edit the PHP settings from this menu.
  4. Edit PHP Settings
    The MultiPHP INI Editor has two modes, 'Basic Mode' and 'Editor Mode'. In Basic Mode, you may simply change common PHP settings.If you only need to change basic settings, stick to this mode.
    1. Post Max Size: The maximum POST data size that your website can handle is controlled by this setting.
    2. Upload Max Filesize: The maximum file size that can be uploaded is selected by this setting.
    3. Memory Limit: This setting controls the maximum amount of memory that a script can use.
    4. Max Execution Time: This setting controls how long a script can run before it is terminated.
    5. Max Input Time: This setting controls how long a script can spend parsing input data.
    6. Editor Mode: If you need to make more advanced changes, switch to Editor Mode. Here, you can manually edit the php.ini file.
    7. Advanced Settings: In Editor Mode, you can add or modify any PHP directive. This is useful if you need to change settings not available in Basic Mode.
  5. Save Your Changes
    After making the necessary adjustments, click the "Apply" button to save your changes. The selected domain's PHP settings will be updated as a result.
  6.  Verify the Changes
    Check Your Website: Visit your website to make sure it is working correctly with the new PHP settings. Test any features that rely on the changed settings to ensure everything functions as expected.
