How to Manage 'Images' in the Files Section of cPanel?


Managing your images in cPanel is easy and helps keep your website organized. Follow this simple guide to get started:

  1. Log in to cPanel
    Open your web browser and go to the cPanel login page. Please enter your username and password. Click the "Login" button.
  2. Access the Images Tool
    ● Navigate to the "Files" section in the cPanel dashboard.
    ● Select "Images."
  3. Utilizing the Images Tool
    The Images tool in cPanel serves three primary functions: Thumbnailer, Scaler, and Converter.
    1. Thumbnailer
      The Thumbnailer lets you create thumbnails (small representations) of your images.
      ● Click "Thumbnailer."
      ● Go to the folder that contains the images you wish to create thumbnails for.
      ● Choose the folder and then select "Thumbnail Images."
      ● After making required changes , select "Thumbnail Images."
    2. Scaler
      The Scaler allows you to resize your images.
      ● Click on "Scaler."
      ● Start by locating the image you'd like to resize.
      ● Click on the image to open the scaling options.
      ● Update the size by entering the new width and height, or maintain the original aspect ratio.
      ● Click "Scale Image."
    3. Converter
      The Converter allows you to change the format of your images (e.g., from PNG to JPG).
      ● Click on "Converter."
      ● Click the image that you want to convert.
      ● Click on the image to open the conversion options.
      ● Choose the new format you want (like JPG, PNG, or GIF).
      ● Click "Convert."
  4.  Managing Images in File Manager
    In addition to using the Images tool, you can manage images directly in the File Manager. Go to the "Files" section's "File Manager". Open the folder containing your images. You can upload, download, rename, move, and delete images just like any other file.
    1. Uploading Images
      In File Manager, open the folder where you want to upload images.Click the "Upload" button at the top.
      To select the photographs from your computer, click "Select File". Wait for the upload to complete.
    2. Deleting Images
      Choose which photographs you want to delete.Click the "Delete" button at the top.Confirm the deletion.
  5.  Regular maintenance
    To arrange your photographs on a regular basis:
    Delete any outdated or unused photos. Resize photos to save space. Convert photos to the relevant formats.
