How to Create Calendars and Contacts in cPanel?


Setting up calendars and contacts in cPanel can help you stay organized and on top of crucial events and contact information. Follow this simple guide to get started:

  1. Login to cPanel: Open your web browser and go to your cPanel login page. Now log in with your username and password.
  2. Find Calendars and Contacts
    1.  In the cPanel dashboard, head to the "Email" section and find the "Calendars and Contacts" icon. Take the next step and click on it.
    2. Set Up CalDAV and CardDAV:
      CalDAV is used for calendars, and CardDAV is used for contacts. You’ll see instructions and configuration settings for both.
  3. Get the Configuration URL: The page will provide you with a URL that you will need to set up CalDAV and CardDAV on your devices. Copy this URL as you’ll need it later.
  4. Set Up on Apple Devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac)
    1. For Calendar: Go to "Settings" on your device to access the calendar. Select "Passwords & Accounts" (earlier versions called "Mail, Contacts, Calendars").Click "Add Account," then select "Other."
      Choose "CalDAV Account Add." Enter your username, password, and the server information (the URL you copied from cPanel). Make sure the calendar is on before tapping "Next."
    2. For Contacts: Go to "Settings" on your gadget. After swiping down, select "Passwords & Accounts."Click "Add Account," then select "Other."Choose "CarDAV Account Add."Enter your password, username, and server information. Make sure the contacts are on by tapping "Next."
  5. Set Up on Android Devices
    1. For Calendars: Go to "Settings" on your device.Tap "Accounts" and then "Add Account." Choose "CalDAV" or "Email" based on your device. Enter the server's details, username, and password.Save the settings.
    2. For contacts: Go to "Settings" on your device.Tap "Accounts" and then "Add Account." Choose "CardDAV." Enter the server's details, username, and password.Save the setting

  6. Set Up on Windows Devices
    1. For Calendars: Open the Calendar app. Go to “Settings” and then “Manage Accounts.”Select “Add Account” and choose “Advanced setup.”Enter the CalDAV server information, username, and password.
    2. For Contacts: Open the Contacts app. Go to “Settings” and then “Manage Accounts.” Select “Add Account” and choose “Advanced setup.”Enter the CardDAV server information, username, and password.

  7. Sync and Test: After setting up, your device will start syncing calendars and contacts with your cPanel account. Create a test event or contact to ensure everything is working properly.
